Biografía

Pioneer of surrealism, a disciple for free of Vázquez Díaz and before, of Romero de Torres, would bring successive renovations to Spanish art, creating groups such as constructionists and, already during the civil war, embracing social realism as a weapon of complaint, in the manner of Goya or Picasso. Invited to the Venice Biennale and the Catalonia gallery, the Spanish Government of the Republic entrusted him with a twenty-story notebook about the war, where the drama reaches its most tragic dimension.His studies, foreshortenings, nudes and sketches have become precious, due to the dissociation to the normative production of the artist.
