Luis Nishizawa

Biografía

Luis Nishizawa, painter, engraver, graphic artist, jeweller, ceramicist, and academic of Japanese and Mexican ancestry, was one of the most highly regarded Mexican muralist artists. Subject of numerous publications and survey exhibitions, his large-scale sight-specific murals grace numerous public buildings throughout Mexico and the Latin Americas, and his works have been acquired by prominent public, corporate and private collections across the globe. In recognition of his artistic legacy, the Mexican government inaugurated the Museo Taller Luis Nishizawa in Toluca.
